QSA FOUNDATION -PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS

The QSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless children, veterans, military families, youth, and underserved individuals through education, community outreach, and essential support services. Serving communities in Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Colorado, the Foundation partners with businesses, volunteers, schools, and community organizations to address homelessness, food insecurity, educational disparities, behavioral health awareness, and workforce development.

Our programs include daily food recovery and feeding initiatives for homeless individuals and families, the Celebration for Homeless Children, Veterans Homeless Stand Down events, Youth Symposiums, educational career advancement programs, STEM and workforce readiness events, drug prevention and substance misuse education, homeless safety and personal wellness workshops, leadership development, and community resource navigation. We also provide volunteer opportunities, training, and strategic partnerships that strengthen the capacity of local communities to serve those in need.

The QSA Foundation's work is essential because homelessness, hunger, substance misuse, and limited access to educational and economic opportunities continue to impact thousands of individuals and families. By providing nutritious meals, educational programming, prevention initiatives, career exploration, and access to supportive resources, we help individuals build resilience, achieve self-sufficiency, and improve their quality of life. Through collaboration, compassion, and sustainable community partnerships, the QSA Foundation is creating measurable, lasting change and empowering individuals to build brighter futures.

The QSA Foundation's work closely aligns with City rebuild projects with priority areas of Housing, Youth Well-Being, and Economic Opportunity by addressing the root causes of homelessness, educational inequities, and barriers to self-sufficiency in the Metro Communities.

Our primary focus is supporting individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness through food distribution, homeless outreach, safety education, resource navigation, and partnerships that connect participants with housing resources and supportive services. By helping meet immediate needs while connecting individuals to long-term community resources, we contribute to greater housing stability and improved quality of life for vulnerable populations.

The Foundation also advances Youth Well-Being by providing Youth Symposiums, educational enrichment programs, career exploration events, STEM learning opportunities, leadership development, and drug prevention education. These programs equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make healthy decisions, remain engaged in school, prepare for future careers, and become productive community leaders.

For more than two decades, the QSA Foundation has worked alongside volunteers, businesses, and community partners to improve the lives of homeless children, veterans, military families, youth, and underserved individuals. Since 2001, we have provided programs that address food insecurity, homelessness, education, workforce development, and community wellness across Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Colorado.

The Foundation's impact is demonstrated through measurable outcomes and sustained community partnerships. We currently engage 157 active volunteers across five states who support our outreach initiatives and community events. Through collaborations with 18 community-based organizations—including 8 in Denver, Colorado; 2 in Kentucky; 1 in North Carolina; 4 in Tennessee; and 3 in Detroit, Michigan—we leverage local resources to maximize our reach and effectiveness.

Food security remains a cornerstone of our work. We provide weekly meal distributions every Monday in each of the five states we serve, totaling approximately 260 meal provision events annually, ensuring that individuals and families experiencing homelessness or food insecurity have consistent access to nutritious meals. By recovering and redistributing surplus food, we help reduce hunger while minimizing food waste.

Our commitment to veterans is reflected in our Veterans Homeless Stand Down initiatives and related outreach efforts, through which we have served more than 1,000 veterans by connecting them with meals, clothing, hygiene supplies, community resources, and supportive services.

The Foundation also invests in the next generation through Youth Symposiums, Education fairs and Christmas Parties that provide career exploration, STEM education, leadership development, workforce readiness, and drug prevention education. These events equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy decisions, pursue higher education and careers, and become engaged community leaders.

In addition to our in-person services, the QSA Foundation extends its educational impact through digital outreach.

Building Hope Capital Campaign

I am honored to invite you to become a founding sponsor of our Building Hope Capital Campaign, a transformative initiative designed to establish and support a network of QSA Foundation Community Impact Centers serving communities across Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Colorado.

For more than two decades, the QSA Foundation has been committed to serving homeless individuals and families, veterans, military families, youth, and underserved communities through outreach, education, workforce development, mentoring, and community support programs. As the needs in our communities continue to grow, so does our vision.

Today, we are launching a campaign to raise $1.5 million and beyond to develop permanent Community Impact Centers that will serve as hubs of hope, opportunity, education, and empowerment in multiple states.
